Best Enterprise AI Platforms in 2026: Assistants, Search, Agents and Company Intelligence Compared

Comparison · · Published October 2026 · 11 min read

By Ashwin Gopinath, CEO

TL;DR

  • The best enterprise AI platforms in 2026 fall into four groups: assistants (ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini Enterprise, Claude Enterprise), work search (Glean), agent platforms (Moveworks, Salesforce Agentforce, ServiceNow AI Agents) and company intelligence (Sentra).
  • Most companies end up running one assistant, one or two agent platforms, and a shared context layer. The decision that matters is which group you need first, not which logo wins a feature grid.
  • Score every vendor on security, permissions, deployment, connectors, cost model and who owns the context. The last one decides how expensive it is to change models in two years.
  • Sentra is the company intelligence and memory underneath the others. It reads email, chat, meetings, documents, ERP, CRM, HRIS and BI, and any assistant or agent can use it over REST or MCP.

What enterprise AI platforms are

Enterprise AI platforms are software products that apply large language models to a company's own data, under the company's identity, permission and compliance controls. An enterprise AI platform differs from a consumer chatbot in three ways: it connects to internal systems, it enforces who may see what, and it is bought, administered and audited centrally.

The phrase covers very different products. A CIO comparing Microsoft Copilot with Salesforce Agentforce is comparing a writing and search assistant with a system that executes customer workflows. Both are enterprise AI software. They solve different problems and sit in different budgets. Sorting the market by what each product is gives you a shorter, more useful shortlist than sorting by features.

Assistants: ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini Enterprise, Claude Enterprise

Assistants are where most enterprise AI spend starts, because every employee can use one on day one.

ChatGPT Enterprise

ChatGPT Enterprise is OpenAI's sales-led plan. OpenAI publishes no Enterprise seat price and asks buyers to contact sales (chatgpt.com). The self-serve ChatGPT Business plan costs $20 per user per month billed annually or $25 monthly for a Standard seat, with a two-seat minimum (help.openai.com). OpenAI says it does not train on data from Enterprise or Business by default, and eligible Enterprise customers can store content at rest in ten regions, including the US, Europe, the UK, Japan and India (openai.com). Enterprise adds SCIM, role-based access controls and Enterprise Key Management.

Best for

a company that wants one general assistant across every function, independent of its office suite. See our ChatGPT Enterprise guide.

Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft has renamed Microsoft 365 Copilot to Microsoft Copilot (learn.microsoft.com). It costs $30 per user per month paid yearly as an add-on to a qualifying Microsoft 365 licence (microsoft.com). Copilot answers from Microsoft Graph and only surfaces data a user has at least view permission for. Microsoft states that prompts, responses and Graph data are not used to train foundation models.

Best for

organisations whose mail, files and meetings already live in Microsoft 365.

Gemini Enterprise

Gemini Enterprise is Google Cloud's agent and assistant product. Google says it plugs into Microsoft 365, Slack, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce and more, runs under each person's existing permissions, and never uses customer prompts or outputs to train Google models (cloud.google.com). At its October 2025 launch, Business cost $21 and Enterprise $30 per person per month (axios.com). Google's page now lists starting prices in local currency, so confirm yours. Standard and Plus add VPC Service Controls and customer-managed encryption keys.

Best for

companies on Google Workspace that want assistant and agents from one vendor. See our Gemini Enterprise guide.

Claude Enterprise

Claude Enterprise costs $20 per seat per month billed annually plus usage at API rates, with a 20-seat minimum (claude.com). It adds SCIM, audit logs, a Compliance API, custom retention and IP allowlisting. Anthropic lists no model training on Enterprise content by default.

Best for

teams that work with long documents, analysis and code. See our Claude Enterprise guide.

Work search: Glean

Glean is the best known enterprise search product. It connects to many apps, indexes content, and answers with permission awareness. Glean lists SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR on its enterprise AI software page. Glean publishes no rate card. Metronome estimates $45 to $50 per user per month for the base platform plus about $15 for Work AI. Our Glean pricing breakdown works out annual cost by seat count.

Search returns documents that match a question. It does not tell you which of three conflicting documents is current, or that a commitment made in a meeting was quietly dropped.

Best for

large companies whose main pain is finding information across a fragmented stack.

Agent platforms: Moveworks, Salesforce Agentforce, ServiceNow

Agent platforms take actions inside systems of record. They are bought per function, usually by the owner of that system.

Moveworks

ServiceNow completed its acquisition of Moveworks on 15 December 2025 and plans to fold Moveworks' assistant, enterprise search and reasoning engine into its own agentic platform (businesswire.com). About 5.5 million employees use Moveworks. Moveworks ranks first in its own enterprise AI solutions roundup, which lists ServiceNow as a separate competitor. Read it with that in mind.

Best for

employee support across IT and HR, especially for ServiceNow customers.

Salesforce Agentforce

Agentforce runs agents on Salesforce data. Salesforce lists $2 per conversation for customer-facing agents, Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits with 20 credits per action, and Agentforce add-ons for Sales or Service at $125 per user per month (salesforce.com).

Best for

sales and service teams whose workflows already run in Salesforce.

ServiceNow AI Agents

ServiceNow AI Agents run inside the ServiceNow AI Platform. AI Agent Studio builds agents in natural language, and Action Fabric connects third-party agents over the A2A protocol and external tools over MCP (servicenow.com). Pricing is through sales.

Best for

IT, HR and customer service operations that run on ServiceNow.

Company intelligence: Sentra

Sentra is a different kind of product from everything above. It does not replace an assistant or an agent platform. It gives all of them the same current picture of how the company runs.

Sentra reads email, chat, meetings, documents, ERP, CRM, HRIS and BI. It works out what is true now, who owns what, and what changed. It knows when a fact became true and when it stopped being true, so an agent asking about a launch date gets the current one and the history behind it. It then acts first: it finds what is going wrong and tells the person who should act. A named person approves before Sentra acts or sends anything.

Best for

companies whose answers live across systems, and who want ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini and internal agents to share one company context instead of building five.

Enterprise AI evaluation checklist

Moveworks and Glean both list evaluation criteria without telling you what a good answer looks like. Use this scorecard instead. Score each vendor 1 to 5 on each row, multiply by the weight, and compare totals. Ask for evidence, not slides.

CriterionWeightQuestion to askEvidence that earns a 5
Security20%Which certifications cover the product you are buying?Current SOC 2 Type II report and ISO 27001 certificate in scope
Permissions20%Is access checked at query time against each source?Demo where a restricted user is denied, plus how a failed check behaves
Deployment15%Can it run in our cloud account or on-prem?Written deployment options and data residency regions
Connectors15%Which of our top 10 systems connect natively, including ERP and HRIS?Live connection to your systems in a pilot, not a logo wall
Cost model15%Seats, usage, credits, or a mix? What happens at 3x usage?A priced 12-month model at your seat count and two usage levels
Who owns the context15%If we switch models or vendors, what do we keep?Context available over open interfaces (REST, MCP) to other tools

Example row, filled in: "Permissions, weight 20%. Vendor A showed a restricted HR document denied to a sales user in the pilot. Score 5, weighted 1.0." A vendor that only describes permissions in a slide scores 2.

Two checks catch most weak vendors. First, ask what happens when a permission check fails or times out. The safe answer is that the user gets no access. Second, ask where the context the tool builds over a year lives. If it lives only inside one assistant, switching assistants means starting over. Our guide to AI agent permissions covers the first in depth.

Where Sentra fits in an enterprise AI stack

Every platform on this list builds its own partial view of your company. Copilot sees Microsoft 365. Agentforce sees Salesforce. ChatGPT sees whatever connectors you turn on. None of them holds a shared, current record of decisions, owners and commitments across all of those systems, so two agents can give two different answers to the same question.

Sentra is that shared record. It connects to more than 200 integrations, joins systems of record with what people say in email, chat and meetings, and serves the result over REST and MCP. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and internal agents can all query the same company memory. Every answer and action respects each source's existing permissions, checked at query time, and a failed check counts as no access.

The memory also makes agents cheaper to run. On Terminal-Bench 2.1, agents using Sentra scored 88.31% against an 83.37% baseline, with 72.6% lower model cost and 41.2% fewer tokens. At Lenskart, employees and their agents run about 11,000 queries a week over MCP, and time to root cause fell from 3 to 4 days to about 30 minutes.

Sentra holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 and deploys in the cloud, an isolated VPC or air-gapped on-prem. Because the context lives in Sentra, you can change assistants or models without losing what the company has learned.

How to choose an enterprise AI platform

Start from the problem, then pick the group, then the vendor.

1. Everyone needs help writing, summarising and analysing. Buy an assistant. Pick the one that matches your office suite: Copilot for Microsoft 365, Gemini for Google Workspace. Pick ChatGPT Enterprise or Claude Enterprise when you want independence from the suite or specific model strengths.

2. People cannot find documents. Add work search such as Glean, or check whether your assistant's connectors already cover your main sources.

3. A specific workflow should run itself. Buy the agent platform that lives in that system of record: Agentforce for Salesforce, ServiceNow AI Agents or Moveworks for service desks.

4. Answers conflict across tools, follow-ups slip, and agents restate stale facts. That is a context problem. Add a company intelligence layer such as Sentra under whatever assistants and agents you run.

5. Regulated data cannot leave your boundary. Filter on deployment before features. Shortlist only vendors that run in your cloud account or on-prem.

Run a four-week pilot with two vendors per group, on your own data, with the scorecard above. Decide on evidence from the pilot. More on rollout sequencing is in our guide to enterprise AI agents.

FAQ

What is the best enterprise AI platform?

There is no single best enterprise AI platform, because the products do different jobs. Microsoft Copilot fits Microsoft 365 companies, Gemini Enterprise fits Google Workspace, ChatGPT Enterprise and Claude Enterprise are suite-independent assistants, Glean is for search, Agentforce and ServiceNow run workflows, and Sentra supplies the shared company context underneath them.

What is the difference between enterprise AI software and consumer AI?

Enterprise AI software connects to internal systems, enforces each user's permissions, and is administered centrally with SSO, audit logs and contractual data terms. Consumer plans lack most of those controls. OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft and Google each state that business-plan data is not used for model training by default.

How much do enterprise AI platforms cost?

Published prices run from $20 per seat per month annually for ChatGPT Business and Claude Enterprise (plus usage for Claude) to $30 for Microsoft Copilot. Salesforce Agentforce prices by conversation, credits or $125 per user add-ons. Glean, ServiceNow and ChatGPT Enterprise quote through sales.

Should we buy one enterprise AI platform or several?

Most large companies run several: one assistant for everyone, agent platforms inside major systems of record, and a shared context layer so they agree with each other. Trying to make one assistant do everything usually leaves gaps outside its home suite.

What should be on an enterprise AI evaluation checklist?

Security certifications, query-time permission enforcement, deployment and data residency options, native connectors to your top systems, a priced cost model at your scale, and who owns the context the tool builds. Weight them and score from pilot evidence.

Can enterprise AI tools work with our existing assistants?

Many can, through open interfaces such as MCP and REST. ServiceNow AI Agents connect external tools over MCP, and Sentra serves its company memory over REST and MCP so ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and internal agents use the same context.

Who owns the data and context an enterprise AI platform builds?

Your contract governs the raw data, but the context an assistant builds over time often lives inside that vendor's product. Ask each vendor whether that context is available to other tools through open interfaces, and what you keep if you leave.
