Seen, not surveilled.

A company brain only works if people trust it. Here is exactly what Sentra can see, what you control, and how your data stays protected.

When a company turns on shared memory, the first question is always the same. Is this going to watch us? It is a fair question, and the honest answer is no. Sentra is designed to give people back their time, not to monitor them. Here is how that holds up in practice.

You only see what you already can

Sentra inherits the access controls of every source it connects to, including Slack, GitHub, Linear, and Google Workspace. No one can ask Sentra for something they could not already open themselves. Permissions are checked on every query, and a hard test in our build pipeline blocks any release that would let one person reach another person's restricted data.

Raw data stays with its owner

Full transcripts and source material stay with the people who created them. Everyone else sees processed insights and summaries, never the raw record. The data privacy page breaks down exactly who can see what.

You decide what goes in, and you can take it back

Memory is shared by default so the company gets the benefit of one source of truth, but you stay in control of your own contributions at every step.

  • Mark any meeting private by typing @sentra private. Private meetings are never added to company memory and stay visible only to participants.
  • Retract your own recording contributions from company memory at any time.
  • Request deletion of specific items or all of your data.

Built for the person, not the panopticon

The value lands on the individual first. Less re-explaining context, faster onboarding, your own work made findable. Shared alignment is a byproduct of good memory, not the point of it. Leaders get a clearer picture of the company. Everyone gets their time back.

Your data is never the product

We do not train models on your data. You pay us for a service, not with your context. We store only what is needed to make Sentra work, and nothing more.

Common questions

Is Sentra employee monitoring?

No. Sentra is built around individual value, not activity tracking. It helps each person spend less time re-explaining context and searching for answers. Leaders get alignment and risk signals, never keystrokes, hours, or who-did-what surveillance.

Can my manager read my DMs or private channels?

Sentra inherits the permissions of every source it connects to, so no one can see anything they could not already open themselves. You can mark a meeting private, and private meetings are never added to company memory. You can also retract or delete your own contributions at any time.

Do you train AI models on our data?

No. We do not train models on your data. You pay us for a service, not with your context.

Can we run Sentra in our own cloud?

Yes. Sentra runs in our cloud, in an isolated VPC, or fully air-gapped on-prem. Your data stays where you say it stays.

What compliance does Sentra hold?

SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, with AES-256 encryption at rest, encryption in transit, regular security audits, and a public subprocessor list.

How do I delete my data?

You can request deletion of specific recordings or all of your data at any time by contacting contact@sentra.app.
