How Sentra turns meetings into company memory
Meeting notes stay in the meeting. Sentra turns what was decided into facts about the people, accounts and projects involved, so a decision made on a call is connected to the email, chat and records that follow it.
In short
- The Sentra meeting bot joins Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls. Existing Google Meet transcripts in Drive can be read too.
- Each meeting is summarized, and Sentra extracts the entities and facts from that summary, then the relationships between them.
- Speakers are matched to people in the organization, so a meeting fact lands on the same person entity as their email and chat.
- Private meetings are visible only to the people who attended, admins included.
Why notes are not memory
A note-taker produces a document per meeting. Six weeks later, nobody knows which of forty documents holds the decision, or whether an email since then changed it. The decision is only useful if it is attached to the account, project or person it was about, next to everything else that happened to them.
From transcript to facts
Every fact keeps the meeting as its source and the meeting's start time as when it happened, so an answer can always point back to the call.
- The transcript arrives when the meeting ends
- Sentra writes a summary of the meeting, guided by the speaker labels
- It extracts the people, accounts, projects and other entities from that summary, and the facts about each one
- It matches each entity to the one that already exists in memory
- It extracts the relationships, such as who attended, who owns a follow-up and which account a decision affects
Linking meetings to email and chat
Attendees and speakers are matched to people in the organization by their account and email address. Those are the same identities Sentra uses for email, calendar and chat, so a commitment made on a call and the thread that follows it land on the same person and the same account.
Private meetings
A meeting can be made private by typing @sentra private in the meeting, from the desktop app, or with a rule set in advance. A private meeting is visible only to its attendees. An admin who did not attend cannot see it, and an advance rule Sentra cannot resolve defaults to private.
Frequently asked questions
Which meeting platforms does Sentra support?
The Sentra meeting bot joins Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Sentra can also read Gemini meeting notes and Google Meet transcripts saved in Google Drive.
How is this different from an AI note-taker?
A note-taker produces one document per meeting. Sentra extracts the decisions and commitments as facts about the people, accounts and projects involved, and connects them to the email, chat and systems that follow.
Who can see a meeting in Sentra?
Members see meetings they attended. Admins see the organization's meetings except private meetings they did not attend. Typing @sentra private keeps a meeting out of company memory for anyone who was not there.
Can Sentra prepare me for my next meeting?
Yes. Because meeting facts sit next to email, chat and CRM history for the same people and accounts, Sentra can brief you on an attendee or account before a call.
